There is nothing more relaxing after a good workout than sitting in a SAUNA!! I highly suggest to use a sauna 2-3 or more (if available) times a week especially if you are feeling sick. It is one of the best forms of detox in the world. Far-infrared sauna treatments improve the quality of life for those with chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression and congestive heart failure. The objective of this study is to determine whether far-infrared saunas have a beneficial effect on quality of life in those with type 2 diabetes.
Like I mentioned in a previous post, the skin is the largest organ of elimination. So anyone with a skin problem will benefit from eliminating the clogged up toxins in the pores, making skin softer and younger looking. I have been complemented on my skin many times (not bragging, I promise) and I would just like to share my secrets with you. So here goes: I get into the sauna until I break out into a good sweat (everyone's breaking point is different) then I get out of the sauna and into a cold shower.. yes i said COLD shower and I mean it! If it's not freezing then it's not cold enough.
I will explain..
As you are sweating in the sauna, your pores are opening up, toxins are being drawn to the surface and expelled from your body. When you leave the sauna to jump into the cold shower (just for a couple minutes mind you) the cold water not only washes off the toxins you already released but also closes up the pores so that those toxins aren't re-absorbed into the body. After the cold shower, head back into the sauna and break out into a nice sweat again. This will bring out new toxins lying deeper within the body. I will repeat this process 3-4 times and end it with a nice cool shower. Afterwards my skin feels AMAZING!
Sauna is similar to mild exercise, it burns about 300 calories per average session
Helps purify fat cells, burns calories and controls weight. Improves and clears cellulite. Most effective way in burning calories.
Other benefits of Sauna:
Improved blood circulation
Skin cleansing
Body relaxation
Mind relaxation
Yes, I will be purchasing a Sauna of my very own soon!...Sfly:)
