Weight loss
Working at a Health food store is not an easy job. Customers come in wanting you to find them that magic pill that will make them lose weight over night. It does not exist!! As I walk them over to the weight loss section I hope that the questions I'm going to ask about their eating habit don't offend them. You can see it in there eyes as I start unraveling their poor food choices and sweet indulges.
Hey, I'm not saying that I'm a perfect eater all the time. I'm humble enough to admit that I am still learning about my body and what I need to do to keep the weight off. I've had my share of sweets and mistakes in the past. Years ago I was very overweight (Yes, almost 300lbs). So I can say that I know what it feels like to want to drop those pounds and fit into my skinny jeans again!!...I know that pain all to well. I dropped about 80lbs putting me at 220 at which I plateaued for years.
So the first question I ask is how many calories do you eat in a day? If you can answer that then you have some counting to do before you buy any kind of diet pill. One of my favorite co-workers and I share ideas on handling customer concerns and she was the one who enlightened me with this question. I liked it so much I stole it from her...Lol I've recently loss about 60 pounds and so the customers that have seen me lose weight now come to me for weight loss help.
Once I learned the right way I figured out losing weight is not hard! It harder to deal with being fat and unhappy. It just takes dedication, will power and determination. People gain weight for many reasons, stress, bad relationships, good relationships, friends or jobs. I have learned many ways to lose and maintain the weight. I will blog more on this subject soon. This is one of my favorite subjects and I love to share. I'm still losing and loving it!! Want to know more? You know what to do...Sfly
