Genetically Modified Organisms

Today was a good day! I was promoted to management, Well, I didn't expect to hear the news the way I did, but the outcome is still the same. Promotion is always good. It feels nice to get recognized for hard work, long hours and dedication. I know that with authority comes responsibility but I'm ready. Any who, today I'd like to share some inside information that I've noticed throughout the years that I've been in the Health Food business...

JUST BECAUSE IT'S IN A HEALTH FOOD STORE DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT'S HEALTHY!!

What do I mean by this? I see all the products and read all the ingredients, YES I read all the ingredients...
I will do the research if I don't know what the word means... so here is
an example: anything with Canola oil is GMO ...Genetically Modified Organisms.

"Canola is not the name of a natural plant but a made-up word, from the words "Canada" and "oil". Canola is a genetically engineered plant (GMO) developed in Canada from the Rapeseed Plant, which is part of the mustard family of plants".

So my advice to you is please do your research before assuming something is healthy...

Say No To GMOs! support mandatory labeling, long-term independent safety testing, more stringent regulation and full corporate liability for damages resulting from the irresponsible introduction of GMOs to the food supply and environment.

Bottom line is some Health Food store owner(s) will order products that are on demand or a customer request
above all else...There are products that have no business being on the shelves but to them profit comes first...

Now, please don't get me wrong I've been to Health Food stores that the owner(s) are on board and live an organic  lifestyle. It's easy to spot them because it shows in there appearance, young for their age, plenty of energy, very sharp and knowledgeable. The shelves are stocked with healthy organic products and you feel good shopping there.
Please leave comments or questions I'd love some feedback...Sfly
